Facebook Group & Terms and Conditions
The Lucky Bitch Money Bootcamp Facebook group is one of the friendliest and inspiring places on the Internet, and is the best place for you to ask questions and work through the lessons of the Bootcamp.
We can’t wait to welcome you, you’re going to love it – and who knows, some of your future best friends are waiting for you!
It’s a carefully curated safe space for you to grow your relationship with money and we have several rules to keep it an enjoyable, drama-free and no-promo space.
Please read through our guidelines carefully below (especially our promo guidelines) and then request membership here.
We’ll usually approve you within one business day. However, if your Facebook name is different from your Bootcamp sign up name (maiden/married name, business name, etc), then let us know at firstname.lastname@example.org so we can get you set up.
See you there!
Two things to read below
- The Lucky Bitch Money Bootcamp no-promo policy
- Things our lawyer makes us say
No Promo Policy
The Lucky Bitch Money Bootcamp Facebook group is a promo free, pitch free space.
Use this group for:
- Going through the Bootcamp materials
- Sharing successes, wins and aha’s around money
- Posting pics of your upgrades
- Sharing awesome money related resources
- Asking money related questions
Sometimes “promo” is in the eye of the beholder, so here’s a guide.
Promo means any link to your blog, Huffpost article, media mention, optin page or website, a pitch for a free discovery session or gift (with or without opt-in), giving free card readings, asking for Beta testers, linking to your social media pages, or promoting an event or sale
It doesn’t matter if your offer is free or in the spirit of giving back.
PM’ing Bootcamp members and soliciting for business or to join your free group is not okay, unless they specifically ask you to. Posting a promotional type post and then asking people to PM you for the link is also promotional.
Posting client testimonials or long coaching type blog posts are also self-promotion.
No posting affiliate, competition, survey, any kind of voting, or charity links. We’d love to support you but this isn’t the group for it.
Please don’t come up with creative ideas to circumnavigate the rules, like asking someone else to post your stuff.
Promoing is also seeding a launch, posting with the specific purpose of positioning yourself in a particular way (especially if you’re not really being open and vulnerable but more “teaching”), or posting long off-topic blog type articles.
Before you post ANY link or long post – ask yourself – am I benefiting myself in any way here?
There are other, better groups for asking for specific business feedback or technical questions about websites and technology, so think before you post if Bootcamp is the right group.
If someone does a specific shout out asking for what you do, it’s okay post a link in the comments – but remember, that sometimes the answer is already within the Bootcamp materials – and we want to encourage everyone to use what’s already at their disposal, not buy another program or course.
There are new members joining this group every week, and we need to keep the space sacred for people who are actively going through the Bootcamp materials.
It’s okay to not get everything from this group. Dip in and out when you want to work on your money stuff. There are other groups where promo is encouraged. This is not one of them – and that’s okay.
These “rules” are in place are to create a sacred and safe space for us to raise our consciousness around money.
Promoting and selling aren’t dirty. This just isn’t the space for it.
What happens if you accidentally post a promo?
Usually we delete it and send you a quick note to let you know if it’s your first time. If you do this repeatedly, it can be grounds for asking you to leave this group (this is incredibly rare).
It doesn’t mean anyone is in trouble, mistakes will happen but please don’t try and get an exception or make us feel bad for deleting your post.
What if you see a promotional post? Who do I let know?
Of course, a few promos might get through. We don’t want to spend our valuable time in the group policing this policy rather than helping members. You can hit “Report post to admin” and we’ll decide to delete it or not.
If you ever have any problems in the group, get in touch with us at email@example.com.
Please don’t PM Denise or the other admins on Facebook. Messages get lost that way.
Thanks again everyone for making this the most supportive and inspiring place on Facebook!
